Dolce Vita

Poster: Dolce Vita
A highly rated Russian drama series about love, sex, betrayal, and living life to the max. The show has led critics to call the broadcaster, TNT, “Russia’s HBO”.

The story of what has been called the most explicit drama series on Russian television centers around six successful thirty-year-old Muscovites whose lives change dramatically with the arrival of the main character. Sasha is a single mom from a provincial town and a former ballet dancer, who is now making money as a go-go dancer at night clubs. After an unpleasant incident with the son of an influential father at a birthday party, Sasha leaves her daughter with her grandmother and comes to Moscow. She moves in with her once best friend Lera, with whom she used to be part of the Bolshoi Theater troupe. By arriving in Moscow she unwillingly upsets the delicate balance in the existing relationships between the other characters of the series and becomes the catalyst for what has been brewing in their lives for a long time. Dolce Vita is about love, passion, infidelity, and the great lengths people are willing to go to while pursuing their desires.

All six episodes of Season 1 of Dolce Vita happen in just eight days. However, during this time the life of each character will take a 180 degree turn, with each of them opening up from an unexpected angle. They all desperately want happiness and are ready to make any sacrifice to get it. The only problem is sometimes they are too confused to understand where to look for it.
